This is the Humber Foton, built by Humber Boats in Ontario Canada. Check out www.humberboats.ca for more info.
The Humber Foton is North America's first production solid hull fiberglass solar powered boat. Great for the casual boater or fisherman!

  • why dont you make an awning and put a flexible solar panel on the awning, you would have all kinds of surface area to spread out the solar panels (and it would keep my balding head from sunburn)

  • @ortcloud99 I have certainly tought of doing that and you are not the first person to suggest it. This particular boat is not the best format for an awning. Watch this space. You never know what I will come up with!

  • Hi there! The panels charge two 12 volt batteries and the Torqeedo motor runs off the batteries.

  • i love solar powered boats! who is that hottie in the boat?

  • Well, that would be me, John, your humble Humber Boats president! :-)

  • what will panels extend battery life by on clear summers day?

How long would panels take to recharge batteries if moored up?

    thanks

  • Is it only powered by the solar panels?
