This one was requested by Laurianni. Of course everybody knows this song. Ordinarily I I like to be strict about just playing the guitar and singing live. Here I was tempted to add the harmonies (partly I must admit to show Ron Meason at corfid that I can sing that high - heh heh), but alas, the only option I have for doing that here right now is the iMovie voiceover, which doesn't allow me to synchronize the harmonies with the melody. Dang. So in spite of my efforts to break my own rules here, it's just one voice and one guitar playing live. Oh well.

  • Fab performance. Wht mic did u use? Im so corious. Did u add reverb?

  • @windhojong Thanks! Yes, there's a bit of reverb there. For details of my set up, go to my "FAQ" on my channel. Thanks for listening.

  • I can finger pick Beatles Yesterday just like McCartney, but can you give me a tip to finger pick really fast like you do.

  • @ahafan64 Second: if you are in the habit of resting your right-hand little finger on the sound board of the guitar while picking, stop! Take it off and never put it on again. You'll be amazed how quickly you'll become accustomed to playing that way. Took me maybe two weeks after playing for 10 years.

  • @ahafan64 Two things come to mind. First, nails. Grow natural nails and keep them well groomed. Even if you think they're "too weak" like I hear so many people say. They will get stronger if you take care of them - or at least they did in my case.

  • @ahafan64 If you feel the need for that sense of stability that resting your pinky on the sound board gives you, then use one or more of the strings themselves as a resting point. You serve a second purpose in doing this because if the string is available to be rested upon in the first place, then it's not supposed to be ringing. So resting your finger on it serves the purpose of muting it.
