in popular culture, headshots are portrayed as instant kills. but i've seen and heard so many rumors and stories that prove otherwise, some who even fully recover with no permanent brain damage. i know in this case it's highly exaggerated (being beaten to a pulp, shot in the head and left fo who knows how long before help arrived), but to what extent of damage can the brain take without dying while still being damaged like that? most likely a lot of factors come in, but idk :p

Great film, and QT needs to back off a bit on the copyright stuff. He's one of the best directors of all time and I agree his work deserves protection, but not as far as intros go, which is why this one is sped up and makes David Carradine's perfectly delivered lines sound like Mickey Mouse.
