Typisch Deutsch ... Typically German to get offended by this. That same year Americans imagined a black phone girl in a mini-skirt to take Kirk's calls (Star Trek), while any time the French tried to make a SciFi it still ended up being a romantic love story (La Jetee). It was a silly time - deal with it.
Anyone still remember Silent Running or Dark Star? LOL ... The stoners and Mr. Green-Thumb.
Anywho, dergelk ... Germans aren't a race. We settled that in '45 ... ;)
