I live in Georgia , and i absolutely hate it here. But Jekyll Island and St. Simons Island are the two best places in Georgia. I'm going to both this Saurday with my grandparents , my brother, and his best friend. They have started to build condos and new hotels here. But, i still love it here. I'm only 13 so i haven't gotten the chance to visit th island when it was very beautiful.
i got stuck on the beach when tide came in....i was there all night. lol i was scared that i was going to be eaten by a shark so i didnt go in the water
Hi I am with you! Jekyll is beautiful the way it is! So laid back and relaxing! Thats why we love it so much! Not many people and just a great place to go and not worry about large crowds! How do we as non-residents stop this from happening!?
We live in tennessee and were planning on moving to Brunswick just because of Jekyll. Now, with the development there, we are waiting to see what happens. There is an online petition to stop the destruction of this beautiful island but I am not sure of the website. I just did a search for petition jekyll island and found/signed it. If more people would post there, maybe it won't happen. We really love it there but will not move there if this happens!! Thank's!
Beautiful video, but you had best hurry...developers are trying to take over as much of Jekyll Island as they can. Condos are to be built on the beach, unless there is enough public outcry to stop the development. I love Jekyll and I will miss it when it's gone.
