UTG quad rail I.O. Ak47

Just got the quad rail in today from www.Opticsplanet.com It took about five minutes to install also came with shims and instructions but did'nt need either of them for the I.O. ak47. Fits nicely, very snug adds a little weight but not enough to alter your shooting experience, feels really nice in your hand. Can't wait to get out and shoot it.

I noticed you kept the cleaning rod off of it. I couldn't get the darn thing back on after installing :(

@GaTesLgD If you used the spacers on the back of the lower rail that fit up to the reciever it won't fit anymore. I had to use them but if you can get away with not using them it will fit.

How hard is it to field strip?

@chucklewhang It is not that bad you just have to remove the four screws on the top rail. Keep in mind when you take the gas tube out you will have to reset the spacer between the barrel and the gas tube. Also this will kill your zero if you have an optic mounted. In my opinion it is not a necessity to remove the gas tube for basic cleaning so my quad rail does'nt move. If you want to be able to field strip completely I would stick with the stock furniture.
