My favourite passtime: ranting. Today's victim is the DVLA

You might find my blog interesting, there's more videos and more random rubbish http://www.qwerf.com or if you're bored, please annoy my wife http://www.qwerf.com/sign.php

  • I can't stand the test, because in theory everything is a hazard for example signs, speed signs, other road users, road condition, one way streets.

I also noticed that they are all clumped on one second intervals, I think that once a hazard is identified it is one hazard whether it is a single or multiple events. It's a scam to make more cash, I would say 90% pass the question stage but fail on the HPT, you have no choose but resit the exam and spend more money, it's just pathetic

  • i totally agree, i have a hazard perception test app thing on my phone, i click when i see a hazard developing, yet i get a score of like 0 out of 5 at the end, i press the review button and it plays the clip and circles the hazard, yet its the one i clicked for, by the sounds of things you have to click exactly when the computer is programmed to allow you to recieve the point, not really when the hazard develops...

  • I have a test booked next week, I've always found doing the Hazard part in practice hard to do. Got a MacBook but the DVD with the videos and questions on only work with a PC, which sucks as well.

  • @rajufromlondon same i did my theory today i got 47 in the questions and was 4 points of the hazzard perseption test its bullshit and a money making scam

  • @doga201 i got that aswell i got my theory test questions 100 % but the hazard perception test is rubbish its nothing like what its like when your driving :D

  • Basicly, you click when you see a developing hazard, for example a person on a bicycle infront of your vehicle positioned to the left, riding next to the pavement. Then as soon as you see him/her give any warning of changing direction (looking over shoulder etc, or turning without looking) you click again, because that's the hazard. Reacting to this fast will give maximum points (5).

  • @09knucklez except it might fail you for clicking too many times, I almost failed by clicking too many times (and I wasn't trying to cheat)

  • 100% true, I almost failed my hazard perception test, I had to deliberately be slow to react to pass. It sucks donkey balls.

  • you are right

  • just passed this today - but youre right it is far too ambiguous - plus the intro at the start was vague as it said something about clicking when you spot a developing hazard and clicking again if it changes or develops. pardon? so i double click? how are you defining a change? i.e. if a car indicates to turn off the road, you click as you may have to slow down, but if it hasnt made the turn by the time you get there and you have to stop, is that a change or is it part of the same hazard? daft.
