Revolver was a music TV series on ITV that ran for one series of eight episodes, in 1978.
It was introduced by Peter Cook who genuinely thought that some of the punk bands were 'dire',
and said so on air.
Originally shown early evening it was soon moved to a late night slot (can't think why) and never returned for a second series.

  • I hear a lot of The Who's influence at work.

  • Fabulous Poodles were the first band I ever saw live supporting prog band UK at the Finsbury Park Rainbow Theatre in 1978. Haven't heard this in years. Good times!

  • John Entwhistle produced the Fabs I recall.

  • WTF! I thought that WAS The Who! That's a rip-off of A Quick One While He's Away!

  • Yeah...That song sounds a heck of a lot like "Taxman", from the Beatles. Nothing wrong with showing your influences, I suppose, but I've always felt it's better to make veiled musical references rather than to make it blatantly obvious that you're imitating.

  • Very Kinky :D
