@MrPistolMason :) Like I'm 13 again! I can close my eyes and see the high school gym, the parties we had with friends, the long walks, and the luxury of time to fall in love with everything and everyone. We knew and sang every word of every Beatles song and their performances on the Ed Sullivan show...well, we talked of nothing else for days afterward.

It's such a shame at my school everybody listens to crap. Like today in music I brought my guitar and started playing beatle songs like this one and someone shouts out "WHO MADE THIS SONG IT'S GREAT!!" I'm like THE BEATLES BABY!!!!"

@myrtlebox I missed part of this conversation - who are they trying to raise above the Beatles? Black Oak Arkansas? 'Jim Dandy to the RESCUE !!!'

4 people won't remember things we said today...

@xrockxxandxxrollerxx it's a pretty poor way to look at a situation, to only see how someone's actions effect music and not people's lives
Wow . . . I feel like I'm 12 again listening to this . . . riding my bike . . . without a care in the world. Before life kicked me in the ass.

Agreed. But I think their significance transcends recording technology, genre's, haircuts or whatever. What they had, and what they shared was simply put, pure magic. I can't think of the word I want to use, so I'll stick with "pure magic". Yes, they were heavily influenced by American music, but through them, the alchemy is indefinable, hence, the timeless attraction.
