at what age do baby parrotlets wean because my parents wont let me take care of baby parrotlets if it takes more than 4 weeks p.s. the baby parrotlets already have thier wings the pet shop owner told they still need to be hand fed

You would probably want to feed them every 2-3 hours. It depends on their age.
Yes! Heat is CRUCIAL! Without heat the food in their crop (that little bubble) will not digest. Also, that little bubble (the crop, where the food is stored while it's being digested)..shouldn't have too much air in it. If there is air, perhaps you should check our technique. I highly suggest you do a bit of research as making little mistakes (ie: not making sure food mixture is at 107 degress and maintaining that) can easily kill the little birds and/or cause permanent damage. GOOD LUCK!!:)

One more thing: make sure that their is some source of humidity in their area. A soaked sponge placed where they can't get to it helps maintain humidity. A great little thing is a little digital temperature/humidity reader. They are great! You want to be careful of things being too hot as well. In yoru research, I'm sure you'll find the temperature requirements for each stage of the chicks development...heed that and you'll be fine! :-P
