Mysticad, I have to say I admire your comment. You make a solid point, you offer a sort of high-brow comedic touch, and nothing you said was untrue. I'll almost certainly still be voting no on this one, simply because the proponents haven't offered a straight answer on where exactly this money will go.
Good comment (and burn on Meterpig, honestly), but I don't think it's a good idea to place our bucks where they might be burned.
Hmmmmm .... perhaps you need to read studies on how music education supports math or how students who are engaged in music tend to score higher in the other disciplines.
Or perhaps, you should learn the difference between homophones ... "new" and "knew" are different words.
Don't believe the baseless "tax & spend" claims. This a smart plan, supported by people on the right and on the left, and on the middle. R's and D's and even some of the bigger business groups in the state are supporting it. So the tired old tax and spend claims ring pretty hollow.
NO on 59! How ironic that all these 'tax & spend' liberals can call this "Responsible, Conservative, Fiscal Policy" when it's not. I'd like to know when it became the governments job to take our money and "invest" it for me. It's not in the Colorado Constitution and won't be unless this piece of crap passes.

Wow....we need a publicly subsidized band? Who new? Let's se....China is kicking out butt in band? Let's ratchet up the dollars?
Wrong, it is Math, Science, English and engineering. No band. Public school- is intended to be "basic" education.
Let's talk about requiring higher standards for teaching and (gasp!) teachers. Oh wait, here comes the teachers unions.
Foxes in the hen house drooling at the coming pile of money.
