Governor Ted Strickland's Labor Day Speech 2011

Governor Ted Strickland gave a passionate and inspiring speech to the crowd at the Labor Day celebration in Columbus Commons Park. It's a wonderful thing when our public servants speak so clearly and powerfully about the struggles we are in and what we must do to win. When we vote for them, we give them the opportunity to speak for us, and in the case of Governor Ted Strickland, he does that well.

Right now Kasich is our active Governor, but I hold out hope that soon, Governor Ted Strickland will be working for us again. We can trust him to stop the bad legislation before it starts, and to pass legislation that will help everyone in Ohio have good jobs and strong communities.

Ohio is for the workers. The wealth hoarders and want-to-be bullies can live here if they want to, but they have to play nice. Its our natural resources and our labors that create wealth. We believe in sharing in Ohio, and if you don't know how to share, this isn't the state for you. We also believe in protecting Ohio. We protect the people of Ohio and the natural resources of Ohio. If you want to hurt Ohio, by polluting our natural resources and exploiting our people, then don't let the door hit ya where evolution split ya.
