WE CAN REUNITE THE SHEIKH FAMILY Gathering at Athena Park Wednesday May 26th 2010

The Sheikh are a family of Park-Extension who were split by Immigration Canada.
Seema Sheikh and Sabir Mohammed Sheikh, originally from Karachi, Pakistan, were accepted as refugees in Canada in 2001.
They have become a vital part of the community, where they became very much involved.
In 2007 their status was revoked.
Seema and Sabir were deported to the United States, while their children, including their 6-years old daughter, Canadian by birth, stayed in Canada.
Deportation to Pakistan would put the members of this family in danger.
JOIN US TO DEFEND THE HUMAN DIGNITY OF THIS FAMILY AND FOR THE RIGHT OF SABRINA, 6 YEAR-OLD TO LIVE IN HER COUNTRY
WITH HER PARENTS

Their case is not closed and we can help them by gathering to ask Ministers and the tribunal to reunite the Sheikh family, and allow them to continue their life in Canada, on humanitarian and compassionate grounds.

@submix8c @submix8c "Why lie at all?" in your own words "IF my family WAS in danger, perhaps I would.". People make mistakes, that is why pencils have erasers, it should not destroy a good Canadian family and leave a 6 year old citizen with out her parents.

@aConcernedHuman Not so simple... this is the consequence of a "white lie". Worse, why lie at all? Why not just immigrate the legal way? Canada is much easier than the US, right? Especially since the Father is Skilled... Yes, I feel bad for the daughter, but....

@submix8c To me this is a simple case, because six year old Canadian born Sabrina Sheikh's well being was not at all concidered by the Government, she has done nothing wrong and it is her that suffers the most, all because her parents accepted bad adivice and performed a white lie. This Governments policy of deporting a 6 year old citizen's primary caregiver's for a simple lie, is just cruel and total not acceptable!

Now, back to the ARTICLE - WHERE was the DANGER to LIE for? NONE, therefore it was a LIE for EXPEDIENCY, and NOT danger! IF it were TRUE DANGER, there wouldn't have been a problem, would there?

Seems they lied and now everything is screwed up. See what lying gets you?
