Agreed. I can fit ALL my diapers into one wash load (which is more than I can say for our clothes!). Then we line dry them (outdoors in summer, indoors in winter). Pretty simple.
Bum Genius 2.0, Happy Heiny's Onesize, and ChunkyMonkeys. All are fastastic and ranged in price from $12-19. We did have to briefly use liners until we discovered the source of his food allergy, and now we're back to nice solid..."deposits". Also, leaks are rare, especially since he's now a toddler and not chugging gallons of milk.
Our sone is 1 1/2, so for the last 18 months we have used a collection of several brands on him. All have pros and cons that make them suited more for certain babies, and certain ages, but they all work well enough for us! Now our collection is mostly BumGenius 2.0, HappyHeiny Onesize, and a few excellent mommy-made diapers from Chunkymonkey and others. We also have a handful of traditional flat diapers that we use on warm days when he's just toddling around in a t-shirt.
I've purchased dipes from Ryan at PDW! She is the only retailer in SC I have come across. They were the Swaddelbees prefolds and they are really nice. Thanks, Ryan!
I love cloth! I have a little of everything but pockets are my favorite. I wish Walmart, Target, and the other big retailers would carry bumGenius, just to make them more accessible.
