  • When the PS3 over heats does it pop up a error on screen saying it became unstable and shuts off?

  • @BurrNinja No it does only freeze the screen and keeps it until i force the restart by the console.... I can still hear the game sound but the screen is frozen...

  • you know whats wrong with the ps3? take apart the heatsink and look at the size of the GPU Heatsink its pathetic thats why the thermal paste drys out and makes the solder crack i mean its fking 1/2 the size of the cell heatsink. i mean really sony and they did the same fucking thing with the slim.

  • @theboss7865 Oh that's good, you'll probably get another month or two's life out of it. Couple of questions: Was it an old, fat PS3? and When it shut down did it have a flashing red light on the front?

  • @exhibitAfilms Actually its called a MESSED UP FAN got it renewed ^_^

  • @BurrNinja It sounds like you have a different problem, all I could suggest with that is back up as many of your game saves as you can, then do a full system format and restore

  • @BurrNinja This applies for the old fat PS3:

One day it will beep 3 times and shut down, and you'll have the red light on the front flashing. It won't turn back on unless you disconnect the power and start it again (do not do this, it forced the shut down so it could cool down) the more you use it overheating the faster you will kill it, so if it does do this, unplug it take it somewhere cool and let it cool down. Eventually you will get the YLOD, (which can be repaired but won't last long)
