@basilhenriques That's a wealth of information. I only know what I hear so my information is not first hand. Regardless, the pickups Jaydee created for my guitars are phenomenal, as I'm sure the Birch models are as well. Both creators are masters at their art. Thanks for the kind compliments too.

Sincere apologies for the topic drift Anthony, but I thought it prudent to correct the assumption.
For further confirmation check out the "Wikipedia" page on John Birch..
BTW your technique and sound is just amazing.

You'll find a bit more about my friend John Birch's association with my music by going to my web site and reading notes of Castaways Live Vol.1+2
John Birch was a fan of our band, an Hawaiian Record collector and Hawaiian Guitar enthusiast/player. I still have his Album/Cine/Tape collection, passed on to me when John so tragically died.
33 Innage Rd Northfield was his home, and many days and nights were spent there with us winding coils and testing magnets etc, (always tea supplied by Joyce.)

I myself persuaded John Birch to leave his job at Ampex as a field service engineer and pursue customised pickup installation and eventually guitar manufacture.
The original concept of Stereo Wiring was because of the requirements of the record contact I had with EMI, the steel guitar was to be recorded in stereo at the Abbey Road Studios and released on their premier label "Studio Two Stereo" the first album release date (1967) pre-dates John Diggins' association with John Birch Guitars.

JayDeeSG. I'm not so sure that's accurate about John Diggins making the pickups. I'd be pretty sure that John Birch made the pickups. Why, well, the test bed for the ORIGINAL John Birch Pickups was my Fender 1000, and the year John and I made the prototypes was 1965. John Diggings may well have wired up the John Birch guitars, and probably worked as a luthier on the bodies, but the encapsulating in epoxy resin and encasing in a stainless case was an Idea that John Birch and I implemented in 1965
Very good playing and very good guitar man! Can you play 60's 70's blues & old rock songs with this guitar?

How are the pickups wired in your guitar ? does John use 250k or 500k pots ? I just ordered a pair of his "old boy" pickups but have no idea how i would wire it lol well i do but I wonder what kinda potentiometers he uses for these pickups. I'll have to ask him

@Terrible1 Not sure dude? I'm not that technical...After knowing that my bridge is a 24K and Neck 9K ohm...I'm lost, LOL. I'm sure John will give you all the instructions you could ever need on them. I own two Jaydee guitars now and love working with John on the build every time, good luck!
