Spider-Man Revelations: Death of Ben Reilly

Ben Reilly, the clone and "brother" of Peter Parker, meets an untimely demise at the hands of Norman Osborn AKA the Green Goblin. The two year clone saga was the most controversial Spider-Man storyline up to that point. However despite all of this (or perhaps because of it) Ben Reilly, AKA the Scarlet Spider and the short-lived second Spider-Man, mantains a loyal cult-following to this day.
For the theme I picked a slightly grungey Filter song from the 90's and that fits Ben's personality I think. But on top of that, the lyrics also fit the bittersweet love/hate relationship that Ben and Peter had. And I also liked how when the word "bro" was said it sounded like the person was in the middle of degenerating. It's 'Thanks Bro' by Filter if you wanna check out the lyrics.
(Some fans of the story might notice I left out subplots like MJ losing the baby and the Bugle. Had to cut them for time reasons and also I wanted to focus mostly on Peter and Ben).

the Green Goblin is Spidey's worst enemy by far...and maybe to all marvel universe and ultimate universe too

Ben Reilly was what made me a fan of the Spider-Man comics. After they killed him off I just lost all interest in the storylines.
To me, every Spidey storyline from 1962 up to 1996 is canon. "Revelations" and everything written after it didn't happen as far as I'm concerned.

@Benubenusus Truth be told, the opinion I expressed in my original post isn't really one I feel anymore - actually, I don't have any real rigid "personal Spidey canon" in regards to the comics anymore. I was in a pissy mood at the time I read your post, so I defended my original opinion for that reason only.

@Jiraiya51 Tony Stark did'nt have the right to fight Osborn. Spider Man deserves to finally strike him down. End his reighn of terror once and for all. He killed his girlfriend, he killed his brother, He had an affair with his girlfriend, and had kids with her before he killed her. Iron Mam kicks ass, but it's Pete's right

@DuracellEnergizer But I dont see why. OK, they killed of your favorite character in a rather stupid way, in a very bad storyline, but that doesnt mean stories that happened after that ,are bad. If everyone would act like that, there wouldnt be any comic book readers after 90s.

@DuracellEnergizer more or less... i agree with you. Nowadays I find the real spiderman in spidergirl. If you didn´t like the ending of revelations, check the recent "the clone saga" miniseries. In my opinion the story of that comic should be bigger, but was not bad!

another wasted character was Kaine. people dismiss him but...hes not just spiderman clone, or his deformed clone his is the twisted mirror of peter parker/spiderman. peter parker with no responsibility, even his powers are a perversion of Spidey's. i know ppl say Venom is the dark spiderman and he is, as in he is evil and has similar powers and costume. but thats it. Kaine KNOWS what it is to be peter parker

I really don't know much about this storyline but I love this song and video. Aside from the greatness of this song and the soundtrack it's from, I think the Green Goblin pictures in this are awesome and that everything fits with the music, but agree with some of you that it was stupid to bring Norman back, as cool as a character as he used to be.

It's in the Revelations TPB (trade paperback). They added 14 pages when they collected it. It's out of print, so if you want to get it you have to go on ebay or maybe amazon might have it.

I don't read Spidey anymore. They kinda jumped the shark with that whole Brand New Day nonsense. I will agree that Norman Osborn IS the ultimate badass.
