Youth a big part of Ridge Players' latest show

Veterans with the Ridge Players are taking a step back to let some local youth shine in the community theatre group's production of Oliver.
Morgan O'Brien, 11, of Erie Beach, and Sarah Martens, 10, will share the lead role of Oliver during the six performances, which opens Friday at Ridgetown District High School.
This is Morgan's biggest role. Her theatre experience includes the Ridge Players production of The Sound of Music and Theatre Kent's adaptation of Beauty and the Beast.
"It's been really fun, but it's a lot more work," said Morgan, who performs the lead role on opening night, as well as on Feb. 28 and March 4 and 5.
He doesn't mind sharing the role with Sarah, who plays Oliver for the March 1 and March 6 performances, because, "I get to play more than one part."
