hk ppl nowaday are far more lucky than the old days. if they watched this clip, problem of unployment is only a piece of cake. In the past, HK ppl can overcome any adverse situation.

This is the best clip(also in colour)of Shek Kip Mei fire in archive. Excellent music background, music must be a international language. It was a cold winter night(Black Xmas), all the homeless refugees crowned in Pei Hoo St. and Yu Chow St.
Chang Sha Wen community center donated "Rice bags" for the refugees to keep warm. The whole community reached out and help, that including the British armies in Sham Shiu Po barrack. Thank you Mr. Rogge.

What a tragedy to the HK Chinese people. Only 8 years & 4 years after the WWII and the Communism took over China.
However, things always have two ends, if not that big fire happened, the HK (or British Colonial Government) won't think about to start the resettlement project.
Yet, we have to admire the unswerving power for survival from those people who hadn't been defeated by those hardship. Maybe some among them were the parents/grandparents of website friends out there nowadays.
