Mustang

A tragic chapter was added to the long Mustang saga Tuesday when a large piece of the 32-foot tall sculpture destined for Denver International Airport fell on renowned artist Luis Jimenez, killing him at his studio near Hondo, N.M.

The sculpture has been at the center of a lengthy feud between the city of Denver and the artist that had generated a lawsuit, a countersuit and ultimately a settlement that put strict deadlines on the artist to complete and install the work.

That monstrosity is so hideous, that it's almost comical. Never understood why the Mayor wanted to commission a local artist for something that said, "Colorado", but then hires an artist from NM.?? For those complaining about DIA.......did ya ever fly out of Stapleton?

I love DIA (: This is the only thing creepy about it, this mustang. It killed the artist, its eyes glow red (DIA claims it "wards away evil spirits"), it's just so terrible to welcome and say goodbye to passengers. Especially at night. Ugh, it's so freaking weird. My cousin from Wisconsin (When we were picking her up), was like "Um. What is that?" and she had a nightmare about it the night we got to our house. But I guess DIA hasn't had unfortunate things happening for a while.

To those who claim to hate DIA...you've obviously never been to DFW. DIA is a very well laid out port...as far as ports go these days.
