@dutchmuslima1 most of the damage done was by gaddafi. the nicest parts of the city are the old structures that were built before gaddafi. he didnt build or do much in his 42 years except allow libya to get more dirty and neglected it. If u go to libya u wouldnt think u r in an oil rich nation with only 5 million ppl. where did all the money go? this is y libyans rose up willing to die to get rid of him. so inshallah now we have an opportunity to make libya what it was suppose to be

My family originate from Musrata, but Ive never been there, hope I will one day.
