The old woman should not ask those kind of questions to a young arab boy.18:00-19:51. That was really over the border.. She really shows that she hate arab.

Ignorance breeds hatred. Children are not born to hate, it's the influences that encourage such an emotion!!

One thing I learned with this documentary was about Nakba, the Day of the Catastrophe. Didn't even know that existed. But when I heard of it ... absolutely heartbreaking. Sometimes in this world, justice is not as it may appear from within your own culture. These people need justice badly and I'm saddened so many believe the only way to be heard is through violence. The hate and blind rage will do nothing but hasten their extermination. All concerned must learn to live in peace ... or perish.

The conversation at around 25:30 is to me a defining point. It makes me thank the lord that I was not born into an Arab family. At 26:16 the Jewish girl realizes that her friend's father would murder his own child. At 26:30 the Arab girl realizes how easily her father could decide to murder her. What can be said of a culture that would murder a woman for wanting some independence. It's sick. It cannot be rationalized. It's all we need to know.

The religious songs are an ingenious way to harmlessly introduce reality and common respect to these children. If you took notice, both Arab and Israeli kids have absolutely no issue about singing the religious songs and love each other dearly as friends. It's when some of the Adult Parents on both sides start chiming in that it gets ugly and devisive.

The logic of the children is so clear that it cuts through the rhetorical points that the so called National Governments continually argue over.

Problem is, in the schools they sing songs with religious overtones. Best to keep religion out entirely and focus on study. If they want to sing they can sing something that is neutral.

Bravo to the parents! - without their mind-openedness this school could not be established at all. + the teachers! I think it is a very, very brave step from their side, too. They are the ones who gide the minds of children, who explain..., but at the same time overcome their own comforzones and limits every day.. Courage for them! - The school is very good idea!

Who knows what these kids wil become in future, but positive childhood experiance will write in their hearts - "other way possible!"

this was traumatizing to these kids; some interaction yes, football or sport clubs but to educate them togather doesnt allow for the inevitable significant roadblocks, some not unwarranted.
