@atmoi666 he did yes but he still beat him , that's the difference :D rocky was based on ali's full carrer mostly on frazier never backing down from ali more than wepner tbh , was ali based on his training and heart e.t.c .. chuvalo was a great fighter and had a hard life :(

@calbo555 Ali went to the hospital after his first fight with Chuvalo - when Ali was in his prime. Chuvalo took that fight on 17 days notice and Ali called it the toughest of his career. And anyone who says Ali wasn't fazed by Chuvalo really didn't watch the fight. Chuvalo was one of the fighters in the golden era that gave Ali the most trouble. Those guys fought 27 rounds, nobody was ever knocked down. Rocky was based on these fights and the Ali-Wepner fight.

Chuvalo definitely most underrated!! favorite fights are this one and Ali vs Frazier 2!! these werent matches, these were Wars

Ali was possibly in the best shape he ever was following his exile and return to the ring. He danced almost the entire fight and NEVER stopped throwing punches with blinding speed. George, to his credit, took every damn one of them, though. To say George was a solid fighter with a chin like granite would be an understatement. Incredibly exciting fight from start to finish.

does not matter what chuvalo said with ali going to hospital... the boy got a school of boxing , ali went to hospital because of sore kidneys , chuv was short and the good punches he hit " not much compared to the ones he got on the head from ali " , the proof that ali was not fazed by that and won,diff class , simples
