FINALY!!!!! someone atualy knows how deep a bath for a ferret sould be!. you've done your home work. lol . if you look at most of the vids on here of ferrets having a bath you can see them struggleing to survive. where careless owners who know nothing about ferrets have just filled it up with out takin notice of how deep it is.

Love your ferrets! My ferrets hated the bath, their tails would poof up and if you stuck your hand near them they would jump and use their claws to climb up your arm and out of the tub.
It was weird cuz' they loved chasing after the water from our water hose.

@Corkoth55 Yes they do smell a bit. It is a very distinct smell, but there are many deodorizers you can buy to put in their food and water to help descent them a little bit. You need to clean out their litter box daily and ferrets can be very messy. They need to be litter box trained and even when they are, they many times go in corners around the house or cage. You can get a ferret alone, but it is highly recommended that you buy another because they are social animals and get very lonely.

@Corkoth55 Read read read! The best thing you can do is read lots about ferrets and make sure you are prepared to be a responsible owner. Then do smell if they aren't cared for properly. If you clean their litter daily, and their entire cage each fortnight (eg wash their beds), and give the ferret itself a bath once a month they don't smell at all. They do need a friend or they get lonely. And no, they're not too expensive in terms of food and long-term care, but buying a cage can be pricey.

also one of my ferrets was a very small and cute baby ferret who would ALWAYS bite ur foot if ur wearing socks and he still did when he was grown up we would pick up a sock in the air and he would jump and grab it

i remember very fond memorys of my 4 ferrets and when we had to clean them they were so cute and i miss them so bad

The wild ancestors of ferrets (polecats) are solitary creatures and generally avoid social contact. While domestic ferrets do fine cohabiting with other ferrets and even seem to enjoy it, there is no need for a ferret to have a companion and they do fine on their own.

@MultiWolfgirl ferrets dont tend to die because of this they are wild animals they have to put up with alot of the elements such as rain water

@jakeTW1996 i appreciate your answer, but you should note that my comment is 2 years old. i've lost the desire to have one lol
how much do u spent when u take your ferrets to the vet?

@MultiWolfgirl I never took them to a vet. I didn't need to. Since the shooting of this video, I have had a baby. Sadly, I had to give my ferrets away since it would be difficult to properly take care of them, as well as give them attention. When my son gets a little older, I hope to be a ferret owner again.
