  • Legolas: "A slight tingling in my fingers... I think it's affecting me" and Gimli is dead roaring drunk.

  • Producer: "Okay guys, I amdit this scene is funny. But for as it doesn't really add anything to the film's story, I think we should keep it out of the theatrical release".

(Me, nodding in a contemplative fasion. I get up, walk over to the producer, and then slam his head against his desk)

Me: "Does anyone else think the scene should be cut?"

    (Another producer slowly raises hand)

    Me: "Really?"

    (Producer slowly lowers hand)

    Me: "Didn't think so".

  • Legolas: What's the history of thinko de mayo?

Gimli: Shut - the - fuck - up

  • @sford605 i think its showing the elven physical constitution. theyre naturally more robust than men or dwarf, they have no physical aging, nor sickness and weakness, and their medicine is renown

theyre basically perfect living beings, and can take alcohol like nothing because theyre physically built strong

  • @kecskef6 Closer to 3000 actually. x)

  • @OkamsRazer Don't the elves get drunk in the hobbit? When bilbo escapes in the barrels

  • @kecskef6 In the books he refers to the fellowship as "children"

  • @sford605 While I love this scene, I agree that Gimli is the more experienced drinker and should have one. It would've also been hilarious to see Legolas drunk!

  • Gimli would have won. Dwarves are famous drinkers and Legolas doesn't appear to be the type to drink excessively. Sure the elves are a magical race, but then again so are the dwarves. It's still a cute scene though. I wish they had more scenes with Gimli =)

  • @AusKNightmare Maybe not the elf is the problem, but the beer - think about thranduil, i think he got sometimes really drunk 'cause of his icewine ;D

  • I think somewhere in LOTR legend states that the elves have extremely high natural resilience against various toxins hence the god-hax tolerance :X

  • Gimli not thinking, but he is always saying "elf" elf". littlie think elves lifes forever, I don't know how old Legolas is, but can be 300-400 or less or more... at that years he's got some experience xD
