this is my vintage 1976 motobecane mobylette cady, mint shape, all original, great shape, starts great and alot of fun, a piece of vintage history no doubt!

edit, since the video i put in brand new 32:1, it is 10x faster and twice the power, i will make a new video soon

  • i got just the same ;)

same color and everything but mine is from 1972 ^^

    i love it :P

i think mine is in a better shape

  • @TheTomcat95 congratulations!! just keep a nice mixture in there(no leaner than 32:1 i myself ran 25:1) and i can promise you from first hand experience you will NEVER have a problem with the engine of this bike! keep an eye on the carb though if yours has the brass float they are prone to leaking, its no biggie if you see fuel leaking out the carb just take it off and clean the float needle.

  • I love it! Ive got a 1964 model in shocking condition! seeing this video has persuaded me to restore it..Many thanks! :-)

  • @antszabo thanks! if you need any help shoot my an email i know my fair share about them. the single hardest thing to do in restoring these beauties is the tires! there hard to find, expensive, and nearly impossible to put on the rims! good luck i would love to see a video once your done

  • how fast does it go with a 50c motor?

  • @NaiJorJul 32kph downhill and 25 on flat ground. its a mobility scooter basically!

  • man it's saw old and still looks like new you mast have worked hard to keep it and fix it like that

  • Great bike and in amazing condition.

I have a very similar bike here in Britain I bought for £60. It is in rough condition but it is very easy to work on. Just freed the piston and hope to have it going by next spring.

  • Yes I use also the 50:1 and it runs real fine - there is only 1 point I allways

care it is the Clutch - There is no Variator inside - so the Clutch hat to work

always on maximum torque insight of the RPM - so on little Hills or Mountains

You have to paddle or push - so that is only 1 little Point to care - I got one 1968

in worse looking Shape but it never stand still - I love it. Did they ever deliver

    The Moby Cady M 1 with a Variator - please answer .

  • @586guest2 well i run mine on 50:1 and i works just fine
