How do I live without you - Tribute to yoyo, my jack russell terrier

Yoyo: 9/13/05-4/7/08
To some you were "Just a dog." To me you were everything. You came into my life in a time of need and left so sudden...I did not even have time to say good-bye. I will never forgive myself for not being with you when you needed me the most. People say "time will heal." However, as time goes by I miss you the most. It is hard to realize that you're not coming back, that I will never see you again. You were my companion, my friend, my dog, my pet. I miss seeing you sitting by the table waiting for your food. You used to pull my hair to let me know you wanted to go out... because I did not "listen" when you were sitting by the door waiting. Hard to let go of the feelings from your paws touching my arm and shoulders when you wanted to tell me: "the TV is too loud." You were a great walker. I miss going with you to the pet store. The car rides are not the same without you. I miss having my companion to hug every night while going to sleep. Hope to c u again. Love always.

I'm so sorry. I hope you have people around you that understands the pain one goes through when grieving the loss of a beloved pet. Do know anytime you'd need to "talk", we're all here for you.

i had a dog named jack to i miss him so much. i always think he would still be here if my mom didnt give him that bone! stay with me baby boy u r such a good boy\dog! u will always be in my heart in a very special place but now u arent touchable stay with me my baby boy\dog plz plz stay with me u r the best dog i will ever own! nothing,no animal, or thing can replace my love for u we got u when i was 3 and u died the day after my 6th birthday why did u go why?I love u so much i will never forget

i know how u feel my jackrussle got ran over by a car when i was on vacaition i luve him so much i will never forget him

I do not think that our dogs can be forgotten so easy. There can never be a replacement dog but it feels good to adopt another one just to give another dog a chance to share their lives with us in our home...in the name of those companion dogs who had already left this earth. I know it's hard to walk the same old paths knowing that that special dog will never be by our side--at least not their physical self.

I feel so bad for your loss. So sorry.

Know how you feel,I lost my border Collie Rhuedd sept 13th 2005 and to this day I never got over his passing. I now have a Jack/Chi called Murphy and although he never took Rhuedd's place in my heart, he has made his own place. No dog you ever get can compare to the one you lost ,but they become their own entity in your life. Back then i chose the song "breathe easy" by Blue as my mourning song and even now when it is played I burst into tears. R.I.P lil Yoyo.

You know, it's been over 3 yrs and I'm afraid to go on vacation because I don't want to leave my other dogs behind? crazy, but... I feel guilty. I do not trust anyone to care for my dogs anymore.

Like you, I guess it's taking me more time than expected to deal with yoyo's loss...
