  • Yes, @humphdimb this is where St John got sent off. I have the rest of this broadcast on DVD and you should see the look he gave Pearson just before he walked. Bob Paisley had to come on to make sure he went quietly :-)

  • Johnny Dempsey, not Clint :-)

  • dempsey in midfield!!!

  • @fairlieno7 Hmmm, why else would they go down the embankment and stand against the wall, ha ha!

  • That Liverpool eleven, was their side every week during the mid 1960's, unless - of course - they had injuries

Is the rest of the match here on Youtube somewhere?

  • Could this be the game in which Ian St John got sent off for decking Pancho Pearson?

  • Do my eyes deceive me of is that a couple of blokes having a slash behind old Ken?

What is it he says at around 33 secs, sounds like "an uncle triumph over thrush!" Is that a saying that I've missed?

  • I was there, aged eight, behind the Putney End goal. What amused me about this commentary was how KW simply assumes that Liverpool will win, even after Fulham's first he was harping on about the ineveitable equaliser!

  • What about the sound of someones rattle at the beginning of the tape, brilliant.
