Jordan singing Homeward Bound , we would like to dedicate this to all the soldiers overseas, may you soon have a safe journey home. We are proud of you!
I can sense some potential...you have a good range, which is very important, but your technique needs some work. I am sure that as you get older, you will improve. I would work on your breath control, because that can help you avoid pushing. Pushing the sound out is harmful to your voice, and to damage such potential at a young age would be tragic. Furthermore, use of breath can help you project, which will also help you keep from having to push. I am sure that with some training, you will shine
you have a lovely voice i am a music ed student in college and i would reccomend mayve taking it down a half step i think it would do wonders for your voice.
She's 12 years old for heaven's sake! She didn't hit a bad note...she's in a acoustically horrid place with an equally horrid sound system and a note plucking accompanyist. Jordan, your voice is the star!! Keep singing, keep training, you have soooo much talent. Most of all enjoy it, and know that when you post on YouTube, the crazy people will come out of the woodwork. Post anyway!!!!
i agree with whoever posted the thing about vibrato. you are also very loud, and i don't feel as though you put the song across the way it was supposed to be sung. i mean, you have an amazing voice. but i feel as though if you sang it quieter and more slow it could have been much better than it already is. the song is written in the point of view of a man who just had his wife die. i agree with pohlmaha. this song would have sounded better with a lighter approach. :)
try to reduce the vibrato when holding some of the notes, it makes it sound shrill when that happens - and added that you pushed the notes to sound louder. i love the open sound of your vowels though, and it is a lovely rendition. you did such a great job for someone so young. kudos. hope you keep singing, you will make a great soprano.
