@arwestromen no its deff not, like i have told many people before who think it is, it doesnt really matter how big and bad the caliber is its about the shot u make. if u can put a shot right into the heart are lungs the animal will die as quick as it can.my example would be of this is when i shot my deer this year with a gun it ran 200 yards or more. then my uncle shot a deer with his bow and it ran less then 30 yrads and he watched it die. so its not cruel, there not a really a

Why do they call it hunting, it's just standing still behind a tree and killing. Hunting is running after your prey like prehistoric man, and if it escapes you lose out. That's hunting. Everything else is cheating.

@arwestromen people have been hunting with a bow and arrow for longer than we've known how to piss. as for how humane it is... its still death. but a skilled marksman can put a buck down in only a matter of seconds with a bow. it boils down to the hunter... Humans can be extremely cruel with or without a rifle.. its all about the honorable thing to do when it comes to an animal giving its life to enrich yours.

@reclaimerReclaimer Obviously you don't know what you're talking about. The amount of scouting positioning and work that happens before the actual hunt is what makes this hunting and not killing. You have to know a lot about your area and the animals patterns in that area to be successful. And by the way there have been times when I have been out that a deer has not presented a good shot for me I may not have gotten the deer but I never lost out.

guess what, a captive bolt (which only periodiclly stuns), boliling water and loud mahinery is far more cruel to an animal then a sharp pain and shot of adernaline for 5 seconds, have a good season guys and enjoy the meat....the tenderloins were awesome tonight. cheers from manitoba

@huntermm7 he must have never sat or stood patiently for 4 hours in minus 27 deg Celsius eyes pinned waiting, or pushed hard miles through thick bush as quietly as you can or spill the the blood and insides of the animal you are eating. bagged my doe this past sunday, enjoyed tenderloins tonight, worked for it, and RESPECTED that she gave herself to me....he/she should go back to the grocery store and see if you can do the same..
