why are there so many comments on what its about? i first thought it was about a one-partner mistrust/cheating/unfaithful or something relationship, then found out its partially about novel 1984, and found parts that cant go with that, so i think it must be both or ambiguous. but ive heard from someone that whatever a songs actually about, it must be vague enough for anyone to relate to somehow.maybe thats it, but cant we just listen to and like it whatever its about? great song.

@ajstheman45 partially about it, 1984 is about a macro-control freak government, "sun in your eyes" part doesn't go with that and the stuff about chances and lies doen't go with it either. i thought it was about a relationship with someone cheating/etc. or something first before i found this out, but i see elements of both in it that cant fit the other. so 1984...partially, yes, fully-i dont see it. but i dont worry about what its about, i enjoy listening to it. good song.
