I decided to test out the graphics card on my 27 inch iMac to see how good it was and surprisingly, it is not bad at all. I was originally going to record this with Fraps, but I decided not to because it would decrease the frame rate. What you see here is pretty much the limit of what this computer can handle without a decrease in frame rate. But I am very happy with the performance.

  • Buy a mac... and use windows... x)

You can have a computer with a HD 6970 for this price, just fail. :/

  • @louinou

No, not a fail. 80% of the time I'm using Mac. The other 15% I'm using Windows on my Dell Laptop. 5% of the time I'll actually use Windows bootcamp and game.

  • @louinou Also Lou. Also keep in mind that that LED display on that iMac has a higher resolution that almost anything on the market and would cost you at least $1000 by itself. Yeah, huge "fail".

  • @louinou Fail? Hows that? If gaming is not your #1 reason for buying a computer and you prefer Macs then its the logical thing to do. I own both PC and Mac and find the Mac to be much better for my needs. The ONLY thing that I use Windows for is to play the occasional game. Thats it. So tell me how having a computer runs both OS's flawlessly is a "fail" as you put it. You people should think before you post.

  • @louinou in a way i can see your point, but more games companys will eventually release there big games for macs as well as pc. bootcamp is just a solution to this in the mean time ...

  • what mice you use for fps gaming?

  • @louinou he probably uses mac for everything but gaming and he can do it all

  • I own the same computer. Installed Windows 7 via Bootcamp just for the sake of playing games. Gaming is the only reason I would ever use Windows. For everything else I'm on the Mac side. These 27" iMacs are incredible machines considering the display alone would cost you $1100. The most beautiful LED display on the market.

  • @Josh1901 No everything possible has been done and it just looks generic, it still shows generic pnp monitor, all drivers have been installed using apple cd driver disk.

  • @jshaw6000 you should have chosen 1920x1080 instead of 1920x1200 as it's the same aspect ratio as the screens native resolution, so the image wouldn't be stretched out :)

  • @ImprovedAtom install graphics card drivers
