President Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas, at 12:30 p.m. Central Standard Time on November 22, 1963, while on a political trip to Texas. He was shot twice in the neck and head, and was pronounced dead at 1:00 p.m. Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested at a movie theater at about 1:50 p.m. He denied shooting anyone, claiming he was a patsy, and was killed by Jack Ruby on November 24, before he could be indicted or tried.

President Johnson created the Warren Commission—chaired by Chief Justice Earl Warren—to investigate the assassination. It concluded that Oswald was the lone assassin, but this remains disputed by some scholars and eyewitnesses. Conspiracy theories about the assassination and supposed cover-up have been put forward and have become commonplace in popular culture. -Wikipedia

The limousine is now permanently displayed at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan.

Recorded on August 28, 2008 with a Sony DSC-F707 digital camera.

  • I'm surprised the successive presidents even used it. Morbid.

  • Hmmm.....

I wonder why they rebuilt the limousine and removed the bullet hole in the wind shield, which has been testified by several independent witnesses as one of many proofs of the conspiracy....

  • this is fake (if i am not im sorry) but i read an article from the white house last week about that limo and actually that is a replica or a different one the original is under FBI custody.

  • Sweet ride

  • @luridplanet Maybe you have a different version of the Zapruder tape than the rest of us.

  • @orvillegames1966 One will suffice: Kennedy's throat wound had to be an entrance wound - it was such a small hole that doctors at Parkland thought it was a tracheotomy incision. This is the shot that supposedly entered his shoulder and emerged from his throat, even though the back wound is only a few inches deep. In the Zapruder film, Kennedy's hands are clearly at his throat before Oswald could have possibly shot him.

  • I know a new limo is expensive, but seriously, who made the decision to keep using this car as the presidential limousine after a president was murdered in it? And, didn't it seem odd and kind of tacky that President Carter...the leader of the free world was riding around in a 17 year old car?! I would be totally creeped-out every time I got in that thing. It's just weird!

  • @kasperusa1 Conspiracy my ass.

  • is real limousine or it's a perfect copy?

  • @Lachman0102 the cia already did that right after the shooting, isnt that suspicious?

  • @thegamefreak97 they made refabrications on it after the assassination when johnson rode in it, thats why it has a hard top on it now comapred to the 1963 original version

  • It was debated on using it again or not. Johnson didnt really care to ride in it. It was a completly different car after Dallas. A boatload of armour requiring a new suspension system and motor plus the perment top. It was painted black when Nixon had it. Protestors threw paint on it. It was tore apart for the investigation. I have seen film of the front of the car at Parkland and there is no bullet hole there. People want to be famous.
