I played this on the Steiner-Reck pipe organ in Louisville, KY in May of 2009. The organ is tracker-action and has a solo manual for the Trumpet En Chamade.

The scaling of this organ makes it appropriate for both French and German music.

When the Master returns and finds the House in disorder, it will be too late to ask for Mercy.

  • I think the cathedral looks ugly. I was not impressed with the interior at all when I went to see if for myself.

  • @rrbond07 Sadly, it was vandalized by evil anti-Christ modernists. The high altar was destroyed along with the Communion Rail, Ambo and even the old pews. I pray for the day when the modernists watch their mock altars get jackhammered! Let's "gather" all the "Gather", "Mass of Creation" and polyester "vestments" and have a barbecue!

  • This sounded really uh, bad.

By bad for sounding like a douche but it just didn't strike me as anywhere near magnificent.

I am sure pipe organs are hard to play but the way you played wasn't that good. It wasn't the tuning or scaling (it was bothersome) but you played out of time and butchered the song horribly. Wrong notes across the board, every single measure was broken to hell.

  • @Kokomokox I don't hesitate to acknowledge that this is not a faithful rendition.

Pipe organs are not thaaaat much harder to play, and in-fact are better than other keyboard instruments. I am just not a great musician. I can build and tune pipe organs, blaying them like a master is a skill I don't have.

  • Nice. shame there's no footage of you actually playing it though, that would've been cool :)

  • @southpaw89er That would have been cool.

  • I really have to tell you that I didn't like this performance. What you need to do is practice a bit more, because you definitely have the potential to make this sound awesome. I'm sure that it would if you put some more time into the piece. I'm not trying to sound like an ass, I'm just offering you some advice. Trust me, I'm a performance major.

  • I think I could have played better....cuz I actually know the notes!

  • @CantorNikolaos Well, we have to hope in the future it will be returned to what it was in the past. I know there are churches around the country that are now returning to the more beautiful, traditional decorations and statuary.

  • meh practice more

  • i can barely make it out
