Thank you Johnny. I just got my mac the other day and had already managed to lock myself out of it some how. Was hoping not to have to take it into the shop and look like a complete retard, haha. (Do you not find this a little insecure though? I mean if your mac was stolen, it seems pretty easy to get around the password security don't you think?) Cheers, PEACE!

@GuyGrindlay No problem. There is another higher level of security with locking at a firmware level. If you apply this lock then when you boot up, the mac will not access anything on the computer. Essentially it will not boot anything without a password. This is dangerous because it would require taking apart the computer to reset it. There are also lots of services that can safeguard your mac book in case of it getting stolen. thanks for watching!
