  • That's some nice Irish homophobia. Make us all proud, you beacons of fair-mindedness.

  • @allaboutdmagic I think the guy doing the voice is in on the joke. Ireland also just passed a Civil Partnerships Bill allowing gays to marry. Still more to do though and the overall record is not great.

    David Norris for president!

  • i could watch this movie over and over again and still love it and I'm not even gay

  • Keep telling yourself that

  • i'm a girl

  • @kerrykop That's wrong though. Look at any survey, cities are always more liberal places than the country. I wasn't making any assumptions about country people, but isolation tends to breed ignorance. Also, can you give a reference to the attacks? Attacks aren't systemic. They're the outcome of having millions of people living in close quarters to each other.

  • @bistrosidecar I was Just pointing out the "country" isn't as ignorant as you think when it comes to minority groups and you might want to look a bit closer to home as in racial attacks that have happened in the last few months in Dublin. You made a point of saying "I'm from Dublin (cities, I know, are always more liberal than the country)" when there wasn't any need to anyway. I'm from Tralee and lived in Dublin for 4 years and there's no difference in attitude towards gay people.

  • @kerrykop I don't know what you're referring to. I presume you're talking about isolated incidents of violence against minority groups(?). You can't really count them as representing anything, or popular opinion. You don't see gay hate groups in Ireland like you do in other countries, and all parties are pro some form of gay partnership. It made me proud that only 10 people turned out to protest civil partnership. In most other countries it would have been thousands. (I am gay btw).

  • @bistrosidecar Yeah Dublin has been very liberal to minorty groups of late.......

  • Ireland is not Gay friendly hah:P

The amount of abuse you'd get

  • haha, my best friend works at that cinema XD

  • lol, geuss he didnt like this movie
