I really like this version better than the Dickie Doo original.
Boyd sounds a little bit like Conway Twitty on this track.

Boyd Bennett was Backing up Cecil Mack aka Cecil McNabb who sang this song as well as the flip side"Move" which McNabb also wrote ;In the same session, Boyd backed up McNabb.on "Clock Tickin Rythem" and "Nothin Like This". Both were cut in early 1958, right after Sid Nathan had signed McNabb to a three year contract

Boyd was great. I think this was early 1958. Boyd had a TV show in Louisville, KY in the mid 1950s.
