  • man u guys were in some beautiful water. my cousins and i made it the 2nd meadow last year but you really do have to camp out there to make it worth your while. that upper slough looks sweet... did you see any grizzlies or wolves? great video... it brought back some really good memories. those yellowstone cuts sure are a pretty fish!

  • They certainly are! It was a memorable trip, and I hope to get back. I thought for sure we'd see a Grizz, especially in the upper slough section, we had to traverse some real thick stuff getting out of that canyon. But we ALL saw plenty of hefty yellowstone cutts up close! Glad you enjoyed, thanks for the comments!

  • I fished second meadow last summer. Check out my video on YouTube "Trout Media - Big Sky" the Slough Creek section is at 4:00 and on. I submitted a backcountry permit for 2s4 or 2s6 for this summer. Question...how long was the hike to 2s6? When did the park notify you that your permit was accepted? I read they don't process permits until April...but was wondering when they actually send out notices to those who are lucky enough to get drawn. Thanks.

  • damn i wanna go back to yellowstone

  • Amazing video. Fished the campground section in 08' and cant wait to get back out there this september to the meadows!

  • Nice video guys! I've been fishing Upper Slough for about 15 years and love that place. Take comfort in not seeing any Griz (they were there) - but seeing a MOOSE as moose are rarer than Griz these days in YNP. Just think, right now in late February w/ good snowpack, that place is BURIED in snow.

  • Thanks for sharing your trip. Slough is spectacular. Catch and release trout fishing at its best!

  • it is such a cool day here at slough creek wish you would join us catching whopper trouts, the fishmonkeys!!!

  • Love all your comments. You can hike back and forth to first meadow in one day, should take at least 3 days for the first and second meadow hike. For all three meadows at least a week to not be hassle. I stayed with my step dad for ten days and ate nothing but fish and dehydrated food and we were in heaven.

  • My favorite fishing experience, this is heaven on earth. so peaceful serene, you can live on nature forever at slough creek. Go there and see.

  • Great Video. Slough Creek looks amazing. I am making the trip to the Lamar area this July. Did you all fish the Lamar any?

  • Great pics - looks like it was a great trip. What time of year did you go? How long did the hike in take you?
