@CONTESTENT its ok, i understand. Unfortunately translation to English from Arabic could sometimes change the meaning. I agree, i don't greet a person if i see them 10x a day. Perhaps the word greet is limited. It is more of a well wishing upon him(PBUH). Again, it is impossible to translate the word "Durud", which is what we sent to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). but i understand :)

it is a matter of respect and admiration for the man who has done so much for us. He has given us an identity, he prayed for us while we slept, he was hungry but made sure his neighbors didn't go to bed empty stomach, he gave us a way of life which is unparalleled to any other in existence. we only have love and admiration to Muhammad peace be upon him. i hope that clears it up :)

I am glad I saw this as I always thought the so called Prophet was a liar, thief, murderer and child abuser.
