http://www.TheGreenGirls.com - Romesco is a classic Catalonian sauce. It’s basically a mixture of roasted red bell peppers, almonds, and olive oil. I like to add Vegenaise instead of olive oil to make the mixture creamy. Vegenaise is made with grapeseed oil which is a by-product of wine-making. Whenever you can make something new out of a by-product of something else you’re cutting down on resources and we love that! Distributed by Tubemogul.

  • "veganaise". wow, how silly is that stuff? it's great that she's all for using byproducts of wine to save on resources but that shit needs to get transported.

the egg yolk substitute is almost certainly made in wine country somewhere and shipped to a plant. as in, with trucks. which use... gasoline. making or even buying mayonnaise is less resource-intensive despite this lovely guilt-assuaging mythology. oh vegans...

  • boring dish.
