@malmsteenfan Well, maybe so, but Glover came up with the Speed King riff and lyrics together with Gillan. Purple would NEVER have been what they were without that line up. MKII!!!! Those people made the music, no matter who came up with the riff or idea. Just listen to the later MKs, or MKI for that matter. They're completely different. Not just because of Blackmore, but because of the personell. Blackmore was a genious, but he didn't do it alone.

They only played 'Speed King' at the first 6-7 shows on this tour in 1987.
