The whistle stop cafe is in Irondale Al. right out of Birmingham Al Fanney Flagg is the author of Fried Greed Tomatoes. Her parents owns and operates the resturant. A very popular place with great food, and they do serve fried green tomatoes.

One of the greatest movies of all time - lovely song, too. Thanks so much for sharing it. Jessica Tandy looks so much like my beloved Great Grandmother.

@cyberties well said!!

The saddest part in movie history in my opinion, although Steel Magnolias has a pretty hard time with me too

This is, in my opinion, the best rendition of this beautiful Bob Dylan tune. Grayson Hughes' vocals, with the background singers, add so much depth and meaning to the words and the tune.

Indeed.
Song: "In the end, my dear sweet friend, I'll remember you"
Tandy: "You reminded me about what's the most important thing in life is... friends, best friends".

It's in the soundtrack of the movie. It was originally performed by Bob Dylan in the mid-eighties (I believe), but IMHO, Hugh's performance is better. Thanks for stopping by.
