The 2-stage secret rapture is indeed a lie. The disciples did ask where the ones gathered will go:

Jesus WILL come, on the last day. Not in 2 stages. There will be no do-overs. No 2nd chances.

You have to look at the Bible in context. What was going on in II Thess. 2 is that there were people going around saying that Christ's second coming had already come and people were starting to become discouraged and deceived. But even in the same chapter verse 7 says that "He that restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way" Which means the antichrist wont reveal himself till all signs of God's Spirit is gone hence the Rapture. The antichrist's treaty with Israel starts the Tribulatin

For the record, the rapture is commonly mistaken as the second coming of Christ. It is not the second coming. For it to be the second coming, Christ would have to literally come back to earth, which the Bible does say will happen after the Tribulation. II Thess. does say that Christ will not come until the great falling away and the antichrist is manafest. But the reference of Christ's return and the gathering of the believing to Him was made only to assure the people that it hadn't happened yet

What a joke. Is that supposed to be a scare tactic to cause people to believe a lie? Um, where does it say in the Bible that people are going to disappear? Oh yeah, it doesn't! As a matter of fact, II Thes. 2 says that the anti-christ comes first. Also, in Mark 13 Jesus Himself says that He will return AFTER the great tribulation. Wake up. Open your eyes. Study your Bible. Don't drop it on the ground like the guy in this video.

reaper, you are right, indoctrination causes people to believe something without reasonable evidence. During your childhood you were taught there is no God and that your ancestors are apes. That's a sad thing that you were abused like that as a child but if you ask God to show himself to you and you are earnest in your heart, then you will see God. But for now you are blind, blinded by the illusion the world has fed you, and you are hell bound and without hope of salvation. God have mercy.

@reaper83001 Indoctrination causes people to believe something without reasonable evidence. During childhood it's most effective, we absorb knowledge like a sponge and are wired to trust authority figures. There's no reason to believe the bible is true, anymore than all the other supposed holy books. The reason you don't take those other books seriously, is the same reason why people don't take the bible seriously. Saying God doesn't show because man screwed up is an untestable excuse.

@AstronomyGuru1 have you never had a strong religious childhood or religion if you did you would know God and know that he isnt suppose to make his existence known but in the bible he did back then now days man has screwed up and God does not make much strong interactions with man , and religion is NOT about money and controlment its the church im christian and i dont beat the word into people and i go to church 1 time every two months and God still reconizes me
