This is a known issue with DELL XPS 1330 an 1530. issue is on the chipset of your motherboard. chipset is having moist. if you will call dell they'll just send you pc to their service center. if purchased that pc within 21 days u can return it and order a new one. if there are 3 major replacement on your pc you can ask for a system exchange. hehehehe... good luck... spread the news!

I KNOW the way you feel, dude. I had the same fucking problem. The service guy changed my graphic card but after some months this "master piece of shit" didn't even start! So sad... cost me over 1000+
So the same guy changed the motherboard because "that's the real problem".
I'm wondering why those morons built bad products and that's not all, they're still selling and promoting on their webpages!!!
I'm hoping my extra garanty should be enought...

No, this seems to be the typical 8400M/8600M problem. All manufacturers suffer from it. Basically, nVidia completely screwed up and made faulty chips. IIRC, all chips are faulty. Dell shouldn't bitch about it though, in Germany/Europe their service is top notch. You call, they fix. Even if the problem can't be reproduced.
same issue here...i bought that beast in USA but m currently staying in india,i donno what to do..

get a replacement mobo from ebay and install the copper mod. you should also get a notebook cooler to just to stay on the safe side. i've done this mod and now my GPU never goes past 75 degrees as opposed to 100 degree before and i doubt it'll fry again. (You should turn off Intel Dynamic Acceleration as well as it increases CPU voltage and causes it to over heat and does not do any good for your GPU.

Someone, please reply to this!!
I just bought a Dell XPS M1330! Is this possible that I might have this problem? I have an Intel Media Graphics Accelerator... Do you think this might happen with mine? How common is this problem?

it seems to be a heat issue, i played extensive games with my xps and it caused my laptop to overheat for a long period of time, plus the Nvidia chip gets really hot easily, I doubt you'll have a problem. If you find that it gets hot really easily, buy a laptop cooler, i bought one a couple of months ago and it seems to have fixed the problem.
