  • I forgot to ask this, but do you have trombones? If you do, I can't hear the second and third parts. I know either second or third double the bassoon part, but all I hear are the bassoons in a couple sections when the trombones should be prominent as well.

    Just out of curiosity.

  • Yes we do have trombones but that year they didn't play out much.

  • I appreciate all the nice comments you guys!

  • That sounds really good. Especially for one two rehearsals! It definitely has that Steven Reineke flavor to it. I should add that those clarinets sound really, really nice.

  • WE played this song, and i had the clarinet solo...and i love the bassoon/bass clarinet part that goes with the clarinet soli...i love this song in general...lol

  • As a freshman in high school last year, I played this at my spring concert and graduation. I love this song a lot. Compared to you guys, this is a lot better from my band's version, that may be so as my band only has 55 members, but your tuba is very strong. I play tenor saxophone, and i get mainly the trombone parts, and I love how good the middle section between the first fast part and the grand pause most. Thank you for posting this!

  • i am in 10th grade and an alto saxophone player and i played this song for the first time at the UW Platteville Tri-State honors band and all i have to say is this song is amazing

  • I played this song in jr high and i absolutely love it. I play the contrabass clarinet and every once im a while ill take this song out and play. The best part is where it slows down.

  • nice =]

  • no oboe?

  • i am a tuba player and i have to say that i absolutley love this song. we played it for our spring concert and it was a hit everyone loved it. Steven Renieke is one of the est composers :)

  • i play tenor sax too.

i love that part from 91-that 117 area.

    its awesome.

    haha

  • I love this song. I'm playing this in band.

... as we do not have bassoons, I'm playing the bassoon part on my bass trombone.

This song is always brilliant. Great job posting this up.
