  • Armbar option is awesome, thank;s.

  • this is the very first sweep and choke i learned. :) looking forward to training here when i move to SF.

  • that armbar variation was so simple but so genius, i loved it.

  • raffogator, he's just doing that for kuzushi, and yes that is ju jutsu.

  • Great breakdown and combination.

  • that IS the technique. that's how a scissor sweep works. if you don't pull your opponent forward to break base, then it's bad jiujitsu.

  • AHH ITS MARCOS BIGHEAD

  • Check out the book "Yawara, The Ancient Japanese Martial Art of Jujitsu". It has a full chapter on the origin of 7 distinct lineage of Jujitsu, in which 3 are originated in Chinese Shuaijiao and Qinna schools. The name Jujitsu us created by the founder of Kaneguchi Ryu which in early 1500's adopted Taoist classic Lao Zi's philosophy of Rou (Ju) as the main core of this new style of martial art.

  • tyvm for the info. i learn that in the hard way T.T

  • You dont cross your feet on arm bars becuase it creates space between your thighs, your thighs should be tight I try to imagine I have a egg between my knees and I am trying to crush it. I do see some people cross there legs to convert to a reverse bent arm though.
