Political comedian & musical satirist Mark Russell looks back at the 1984 presidential campaign. This was the year when Democratic Senator & astronaut John Glenn seemed destined to become the Democratic nominee & challenger to Ronald Reagan's Republican administration. And sadly, Walter Mondale became the nominee, New York's biggest bigot Geraldine Ferraro became the first female VP candidate in a major party, and the stage was set for a 49-state landslide victory for the Republicans.
