Simply outstanding !!! I agree with melissamaples that this aria is quite difficult in the excess but never-the-less here in this recording it is done well and in good taste.
Of second note - I wish someone would post or re-post the aria Mithra -I had it on another computer at one time but lost it :-(
Oh by the way, I just had to post this to my favorites, along with Charles peerless rendition of 'To God...' which, by the way, I just can't get enough of it now. Thank you..
I agree with the mongoose, who I think I might know; but who got me really going all out with Handel, now wanting to hear more this great composer. Handel could always do such wonders with melody!!
This is my all-time favourite tenor singing one of the most difficult arias Handel ever wrote for that range... and doing it fabulously. Thank you for posting this!
