  • Isn't 'Irish' pipe band a bit of a misnomer, as they play Scottish bagpipes as opposed to Uilleann pipes?

  • @TwilightFalls They play Irish and Scottish tunes on Great Highland Bagpipes

  • I thought the characteristic that deferred the Brian Boru from the GHB was the Baritone drone that's slightly longer than the tenor... However I didn't seem to notice a longer middle drone to replace the GHB's standard 1st/middle Tenor

  • We play GHB's, not ''Brien Boru' pipes......the band is named after 'Brian Boru', the 10th Century King of Ireland.

    Thanks for watching the video!

  • to bbipb2007 the kilt is the irish saffron brian boru was a famous irish legend and historical figure and the pipes are a shared history as many irish emigrated to scotland thru the centuries

  • @bbipb2007 None of this is Irish, why are you Brandishing Scottish stuff as Irish?

  • This is 1 of the best bagpipes songs

  • i am a member of the 1st batalion the royal irish regiment and it is goo d to see you wearing our kilt and head dress also our regimental mascot is called brian borou faugh a ballagh

  • brilliant i love this tune i can play it but trying to get it up to speed .....................

  • Who have you modelled your uniform on? Correct me if i'm wrong but it looks like the Royal Irish Regiment. Preparing to cringe......

  • Dance tunes are played to fit the dancer's needs not the musician's. Not always the most pleasant for the musician, but it's the nature of the gig.

  • This tune is best played fast.
