@MsMoople [ran out of space] and I am just tired of it. I have had a period that has lasted nearly 3 months now and heavy most of the time. It is making me tired and irritable and I am popping iron tablets like M&Ms to help, which isn't good or healthy. The fibroids are causing problems with my kidneys and liver (one is getting part of it's blood supply from the liver) and I can't do up my own shoes, as my belly is as large as a 7 month pregnancy.
I am glad when it's done.

wow, that one was big. I am also going to have some large fibroids removed and have had a last minute decision to have a hysterectomy instead. I have rapid growing fibroids. The current ones grew from the size of a satsuma to the size of a melon within 6 months. And I know, I have lots of the things. Mostly outside the uterus, which is why Myectomy was recommended by the surgeon, but they have now started inside as well.

wow are they really playing upbeat music while showing this???

FIbroids do not turn into cancer ladies! please do your research before removing organs from your body. THis lady obviously need to have this tumor removed as it is huge, but before having any surgery always get a second opinion and try for other methods, myomectomy just removes the fibroid and not the uterus. If your doctor tells you that you need surgery because your fibroid can turn to cancer, RUN!!! Only about 1% of fibroids will ever become cancerous.

@deelovesdis
yes it is true that fibriod change to cancer in less than 1% and it is nearly present in 30% of ladies specially at the age of thirties. It is better to treat fibriod if it is large or causing symptoms and different modalities of treatment present according to each case and according to desire of pregnancy and it should be stressed that recurrence of fibriod is common and surgery for recurrent fibriod more hazardous due to adhesions from previous surgery
